Private Tour | 1-day wildlife tour in Kaeng Krachan
Why?
A 1-day wildlife tour in Kaeng Krachan National Park is a great way to explore the park and will also give the possibility to see some of the common species in the park. Kaeng Krachan is the largest and one of the best national parks in Thailand, listed as a World Heritage Site. It's home to a wide range of animals including gibbons, langurs, macaques, leopards, clouded leopards, elephants, civets, porcupines and many more. With more than 420 different bird species recorded, many consider the park as the best birdwatching location in Thailand. You won't regret it!
What?
With a 1-day wildlife tour we will be exploring nature from early hours of the day till it gets dark, focusing mainly on wildlife watching. The tours include the following activities; daytime safari drives, jungle hiking, visiting some of the park's main highlights.
Itinerary
Because it is difficult to plan in the wild, our itineraries often get turned upside down. The following itinerary should be considered as an example;
Day 1, 6 am until 6 - 7 pm
After pick up at your hotel, we enter the national park and start with a slow drive looking for wildlife along the way. We might stop at some open forest clearings or ponds to look for birdlife and other creatures. And next we continue on foot to listen and scan for any animals that occur in the jungle.
We have lunch at the park restaurant. Even around there you might see interesting birdlife or more.
In the afternoon we walk on a dirt road through tall forest along a stream which offers good views into the canopy. This area is rich in bird species, but there is also chance to see mammals and other critters.
The late afternoon, we spend in the form of a safari drive. We explore waterholes, and the forest edges along the road where hopefully we will see some more species, before we eventually leave the park and drop you off at your hotel or meet your taxi to your next destination.

Totally superb day out in the National Park. We were a family of five (3 adults and 2 children, 8 and 11 years old). I really couldn't recommend this more for any nature lovers. Our guide spoke excellent English and was an expert in spotting wildlife and telling us all about the different creatures we saw. We were really lucky and saw so many amazing animals, including gibbons, dusky Langar monkeys, monitor lizards, a snake, a sun bear, frogs, a serpent eagle, bats and more beautiful butterflies and birds than I could possibly count. We asked for the trip to be mostly by car, as one of us had walking difficulties, and they were great at tailoring the experience so that we could enjoy and get the most out of it. The day was mostly spent driving around the park on very bumpy roads ( had to hold on tight, but great fun), and hopping out when the guide spotted or heard something. We did get out and walk about a bit at the top of the mountain and there would have been the opportunity for more walking if we had wanted to. Lunch was delicious and even the picky children were easily catering for with rice and a fried egg. We really couldn't have asked for more and I would go back in a heartbeat. Only advice for anyone going, would be take a waterproof and tuck your trousers in your socks (leech!).

The trip was amazing! Our guide was called Bank, and he was very knowledgeable about the fauna of the forest complex. We saw species of primates, birds, reptiles, and bears! A truly remarkable experience.

This is my 3rd time back to Kaeng Krachan and my 2nd time with Mong as our guide. Thoroughly enjoyed the full day tour. Mong was very dedicated and passionate in sharing his knowledge. We really appreciate his help in locating our target species. Glad that we have connected on instagram and we look forward to coming back again!

Together with my daughter we made a one-day guided tour. It was an unforgettable experience watching the wildlife in the park. Our professional guide, Bank, brought us to the best places by car but also into the jungle through trails. We highly recommend a visit, it's a must when you stay in the Hua Hin area.

It was a great pleasure and precious moment in #KaengKrachanNationalPark with Tontan Travel. Their guide was really professional and expert.
When we meet them, they ask what we want to see and adopt tour for our aim. Of course they did their best although the wildlife is out of their control. The guide is experienced and knowledgeable. When questions are popped up on our mind, he answers them well or just says he doesn't know honestly. I feel this is his true professionalism.
That's why we could not only been enjoyed trekking but also lean a lot about geobiologically important world heritage site of Kaeng Krachan National Park. The trekking took over 13 hours but we weren't bored at all.
In addition, he was also very concerned about our safety. He gave us accurate information about carnivorous mammals, poisonous insects and vipers.
All in all, we had an great experience that exceeded our expectations. We are completely satisfied and appreciate this high quality tour.

We had 1day tour and we enjoyed very much. Our guide was very professional and he also knew very well to adopt the day to our challenging needs with small children. I definitely recommend to take the tour and use the guide service.

Spent an enjoyable day in Kaeng Krachan. Our guide was excellent, very.conscientious, always keen to make sure we saw as much as possible.
Being in the forest was a joy and the gibbons in their high tree top a highlight.
